近期，有英文系教授发现
「add oil 」正式被纳入牛津英语词典
并形容为是「香港英语说法」
牛津英语词典一年更新4次，近日又加入了一批新词，其中包括来自直译中文「加油」的港式英文「add oil」。OED解释「add oil」是港式英文，有鼓励、支持的意思，相当于英文的「go on」或「go for it」。

那么香港人的英文水平有几高？
有英语学院委託港大访问500名市民，探讨港人英语水平，发现只有不到一半人士可正确串出名词「advice」，甚至有人把「吹水」翻译为「blow water」、「笑死我」翻译为「laugh die me」。
另外仅有约一成人答对「请参考附件」的英文为「Attached is the document」。
